NEWPORT BEACH, CA. – Four players have been added to the 2018 Lott IMPACT Trophy Watch List, it was announced today by the Pacific Club IMPACT Foundation.
David Long Jr, LB, Junior, West Virginia: 5-11, 221, Cincinnati, Ohio – leads team with 46 Tackles, 8.5 for a loss, and 2 sacks; 2nd in FBS for solo tackles per game (7.8) as well as tackles for a loss/game (2.1); Random Act of Kindness (RAK) Award Nominee 2018, Bednarik Watch List, Bronco Nagurski Watch List.
Nate Landman, LB, Sophomore, Colorado: 6-3, 235, Danville, California – Leads team in tackles with 43 and 2 Interceptions, honorable mention All-Colorado Academic team, Pac-12 Defensive Player of the week, Dick Anderson Award Winner.
Sione Takitaki, LB, Senior, BYU: 6’2, 230, Fontana, California – Had 12 Tackles, 1 for a loss and a sack in upset of #6 Wisconsin, leads team with 24 unassisted tackles, College Football Polynesian Player of Year Watch List, Team Captain.
Evan Weaver, LB, Junior, Cal: 6’3, 235, Spokane, Washington – Leads team with 59 tackles, including 29 unassisted; 4th in FBS with 7.3 solo tackles per game. Team Captain.
The four players immediately become eligible for the Lott IMPACT Trophy Player of the Week, which awards $1,000 to the school’s general scholarship fund if the school’s player wins the award.
The Pacific Club IMPACT Foundation sponsors the Lott IMPACT Trophy and has donated more than $1.5 million to universities and charities throughout the country.
