NEWPORT BEACH, CA. – Jack Campbell of the University of Iowa has been named the Lott IMPACT® Trophy Player of the Week for the twelfth week of the 2022 college football season. This is his second Lott Player of the Week honor, after previously being selected in Week 1. 

Campbell forced a fumble, had an interception, with a QB hurry and a game high 10 tackles in the Hawkeyes 13-10 win over Minnesota. This effort also earned him Big Ten defensive player of the week recognition. 

The senior linebacker, from Cedar Falls, Iowa, is the Big Ten leader in tackles, averaging 10.0 per game. A permanent team captain, Campbell has been part of the Iowa leadership group since his sophomore season and is a three-time Dean’s List student. 

The Lott IMPACT Trophy is awarded annually to individuals who demonstrate excellence in the field of athletics and recognizes college football’s Defensive Player of the Year who best exemplifies the IMPACT acronym: Integrity, Maturity, Performance, Academics, Community and Tenacity.
