NEWPORT BEACH, CA. (Dec. 9, 2019) – The Lott IMPACT Trophy, in partnership with GameBreaker, the inventor and pioneer of the soft shell headgear market, is making a commitment to the health and safety of high school football players with a $35,000 equipment donation distributed to eight Southern California high school football programs.

“The safety of young players is of paramount concern to all of us,” said Pro Football Hall of Fame member Ronnie Lott.  “We’re excited to be able to make this donation which will IMPACT hundreds of high school football players.”

Each of the high school football programs will receive 50 customized GameBreaker-Pro soft shell protective headgear, which have a five-star safety rating, the highest possible rating by the Virginia Tech Helmet Laboratory.  The headgear will be customized with school logos and are designed to protect players during non-contact practices and 7on7 passing activities.

“Protecting athletes is our number one priority at GameBreaker and we’re honored to partner with the Lott Impact Trophy to provide 400 Southern California high school football players with our highest rated protective headgear,” said Kyle Eversgerd, Vice President of Business Development at GameBreaker. “These schools will be joining a long list of youth, high school and college football teams across the country that have made a commitment to creating a culture of player safety.”
