NEWPORT BEACH, CA. – Utah Linebacker Chase Hansen has been named the Lott IMPACT Trophy Player of the Week.
Hansen, a 6-3, 220-pound senior from Highland, Utah, had 13 tackles, including 3.5 for losses in the Utes’ win over Oregon, 32-25.
For the season, Hansen has 19 tackles for losses, tied for 2nd in the nation.
He received a bachelor’s degree this summer with a major in consumer and community studies with an emphasis in financial planning and a minor in sociology.
Utah will receive $1,000 for its general scholarship fund in recognition of his performance.
The Pacific Club IMPACT Foundation sponsors the Lott IMPACT Trophy and has donated more than $1.5 million to universities and charities throughout the country.

Deshaun Davis, LB, Auburn: Led Tigerswith 10 tackles, 2 for losses and a sack in loss to Georgia, 27-10.
Joe Dineen Jr., LB, Kansas: Had 9tackles, 2.5 for losses with a sack in loss to Kansas State, 21-17.
Ben Humphreys, LB, Duke: Had 8 tacklesin win over North Carolina, 42-35.
Jordan Kunaszyk, LB, Cal: Recorded 11tackles, one for a loss, forced a fumble and recovered a fumble in 15-14 winover USC.
Drue Tranquill, LB, Notre Dame: Had 7tackles, half for a loss in 42-13 win over Florida State.
