Texas A&Ms Antonio Johnson has been named the Week 13 Lott IMPACT® Trophy Player of the Week

NEWPORT BEACH, CA. – Texas A&Ms Antonio Johnson has been named the Lott IMPACT® Trophy Player of the Week for the second time this season, after already receiving the same honor in week 4.

Johnson had a game high 10 tackles, seven solo, with a QB hurry and forced a fumble in Aggies 38-23 upset of LSU on Saturday. Johnson has tallied 71 tackles on the year, five for a loss, including a sack and has forced fumbles in each of the last three weeks.

A native of East St Louis, IL, Johnson was an Army All-American out of East St Louis High School. Johnson was an All-SEC 2nd team pick last season and entered this year as a preseason All-American. Johnson was also named “Most Dependable” at Texas A&M and was acknowledged as the team’s top defensive playmaker.

The Lott IMPACT® Trophy is awarded annually to individuals who demonstrate excellence in the field of athletics and recognizes college football’s Defensive Player of the Year who best exemplifies the IMPACT acronym: Integrity, Maturity, Performance, Academics, Community and Tenacity.

J.J. WEAVER, LB, Kentucky, Jr. – Had a sack, among seven tackles and broke up a pass in the Wildcats 26-13 win over Louisville.
