Ohio State’s Curry claims Week 5 Lott IMPACT® Trophy Player of the Week honors
Buckeyes Caden Curry had three sacks, among five tackles for a loss in win at Washington.
NEWPORT BEACH, Calif. — OCt. 1, 2025 — The Lott IMPACT® Trophy presented by Allied Universal®, today announced Ohio State University defensive end Caden Curry has been named Player of the Week for Week 5 of the 2025 college football season.
Curry had a game high 11 tackles, nine solo, five for a loss, including three sacks in Buckeyes 24-6 win at Washington on Saturday.
The five tackles for a loss by Curry on Saturday are the most for any FBS player in a game this season and his eight on the year also lead the nation. Additionally, Curry is second nationally in sacks.
As part of the recognition, Allied Universal, in conjunction with the Pacific Club IMPACT® Foundation, will make a donation to Ohio State’s general scholarship fund in Curry’s honor.

Arion Carter, LB, Tennessee: Recorded 17 tackles, 6 solo, with a pass broken up in Volunteers 41-34 overtime win at Mississippi State.
Deontae Lawson, LB, Alabama: Recovered a fumble to go with four tackles, 0.5 for a loss, with a pass broken up in Crimson Tides 24-21 win at #5 Georgia.
Dillon Thieneman, S, Oregon: Game winning interception in overtime to beat #3 Penn State 30-24. Also had four tackles, three solo.
