NEWPORT BEACH, CA. – Jeremy Banks of Tennessee has been named the Lott IMPACT® Trophy Player of the Week for the seventh week of the 2022 college football season.
The senior linebacker was responsible for four quarterback hurries and made 6 tackles in Tennessee’s 52-49 win over then #3 Alabama in the Volunteers first win over the Crimson Tide since 2006.
Banks is a Tennessee native who is an active leader in the Volunteers’ community service efforts and is a major in political science, among being one of the nation’s leading tacklers from a year ago.
The Lott IMPACT® Trophy is awarded annually to individuals who demonstrate excellence in the field of athletics and recognizes college football’s Defensive Player of the Year who best exemplifies the IMPACT acronym: Integrity, Maturity, Performance, Academics, Community and Tenacity.
