Lott IMPACT® Trophy Player of the Week
Jacob Rodriguez of Texas Tech had 11 tackles and an interception in victory over #16 Utah
NEWPORT BEACH, Calif. — Sept. 24, 2025 — The Lott IMPACT® Trophy presented by Allied Universal®, today announced Texas Tech University linebacker Jacob Rodriguez has been named Player of the Week for Week 4 of the 2025 college football season.
Rodriguez led the Red Raiders with 11 tackles, five solo, 0.5 for a loss, with an interception as Texas Tech defeated #16 Utah 34-10.
The Texas Tech senior was named Big 12 preseason defensive player of the year after an all-conference first team selection in 2024. Rodriguez is also the captain of the defense.
As part of the recognition, Allied Universal, in conjunction with the Pacific Club IMPACT® Foundation, will make a donation to Texas Tech’s general scholarship fund in Rodriguez’s honor.

Mario Landino, DL, Indiana: Two sacks, among four total tackles, and a pass defended in Hoosiers 63-10 win over #9 Illinois.
R Mason Thomas, DE, Oklahoma: Game sealing safety, among a pair of sacks, with four total tackles (all solo), in 24-17 win over #22 Auburn.
