Omar Daniels forced two turnovers in upset of #11 Clemson
NEWPORT BEACH, Calif. — Sept. 17, 2025 — The Lott IMPACT® Trophy presented by Allied Universal®, today announced Georgia Institute of Technology defensive back Omar Daniels has been named Player of the Week for Week 3 of the 2025 college football season.
Daniels forced a fumble and had an interception, to go with seven tackles in the Yellow Jackets 24-21 victory over #11 Clemson on Saturday to improve to 3-0 on the year.
A redshirt senior from Moultrie, GA, Daniels began his career at Kansas State before transferring back to his home state prior to the 2023 season. He is majoring in History, Technology and Society at Georgia Tech.
As part of the recognition, Allied Universal, in conjunction with the Pacific Club IMPACT® Foundation, will make a donation to Georgia Tech’s general scholarship fund in Daniels’s honor.

Bray Hubbard, S, Alabama: Made two interceptions to go with five tackles, three solo, in Crimson Tides 38-14 win over Wisconsin.
Nick Rinaldi, LB, Vanderbilt: Had 2.5 tackles for a loss, including a sack, among seven total tackles (five solo) in Commodores 31-7 win at South Carolina.
Dashawn Spears, S, LSU: Intercepted two passes, including one for a 58 yard touchdown, to go with a pair of tackles in the Tigers 20-10 win over Florida.
