NEWPORT BEACH, CA – May 21, 2024 – Hall of Fame linebacker Mike Singletary will be the keynote speaker for the announcement of the Lott IMPACT® Trophy Watch List on May 28 at 11:30am from The Pacific Club in Newport Beach, CA.

The Watch List is composed of the top 42 defensive players in college football based on their IMPACT® on and off the field, as selected by the Lott IMPACT Trophy Board of Directors, for consideration ahead of the annual award presentation of the Lott Trophy each December.

Mike Singletary is a Super Bowl champion, 10-time pro bowl selection, two-time NFL defensive player of the year, and was named the NFL Man of the Year in 1990, all with the Chicago Bears. Singletary was the head coach of the San Francisco 49ers from 2008-10. In college, he was a 2x All-American at Baylor, including a unanimous selection in 1980. Singletary was inducted into the College Football Hall of Fame in 1995 and the Pro Football Hall of Fame in 1998.

Joshua Perry, a former Lott Trophy Finalist from Ohio State University, will be joining Singletary at the event. Perry is currently a broadcaster for NBC Sports after playing two seasons in the NFL.
