NEWPORT BEACH, CA. – John Hamilton, the founder and long-time Chairman of the Board of the Lott IMPACT Trophy, will be honored as the first inductee into The Pacific Club IMPACT Foundation Hall of Fame in a ceremony Sunday, Feb. 21, in the evening.

Hamilton, who passed away in August, founded, along with Mike Salmon, the Lott Trophy in 2004.

It is the only collegiate football award on the West Coast and the only one that considers character as well as performance.  To date the award has raised more than $1.6 million for a host of charities.

Lott IMPACT Trophy stands for Integrity, Maturity, Performance, Academics, Community and Tenacity.

Hamilton also founded the USC Athletic Hall of Fame, which he is a member.

The Hall of Fame ceremony at The Pacific Club will be held in conjunction with the 17th annual Lott IMPACT Trophy Awards show.

FOX’s Joel Klatt will serve as the emcee with former USC and Los Angeles Rams Coach John Robinson as a keynote speaker.
