NEWPORT BEACH, CA. – Washington Linebacker Ben Burr-Kirven has been named the Lott IMPACT Trophy Player of the Week for the second time this season.
The 6-0, 221-pound senior from Menlo Park, Ca. had 15 tackles and an interception (returned for 20 yards) in the Huskies’ 27-13 win over Colorado. For the season, he has 108 total tackles, which leads the country.
Says Washington Head Coach Chris Petersen: “He does it in practice, too. He makes plays all over. He does the same exact thing in the game. He’s a heck of a player.”
