LSU’S WHITE NAMED LOTT IMPACT TROPHY PLAYER OF THE WEEK #7

NEWPORT BEACH, CA. – LSU’s Devin White has been named the Lott IMPACT Trophy Player of the Week.

The 6-1, 240-pound junior from Springhill, Louisiana had 13 tackles, a fumble recovery and a quarterback hurry in win over Georgia, 36-16.

White led the SEC in tackles last season with 133. This year he has 39 tackles, seven tackles for losses, two fumble recoveries, three quarterback hurries and three passes broken up.

White was also named the SEC Defensive Player of the Week.

LSU will receive $1,000 for its general scholarship fund in recognition of his performance.

The Pacific Club IMPACT Foundation sponsors the Lott IMPACT Trophy and has donated more than $1.5 million to universities and charities throughout the country.

Other nominees for the Lott IMPACT Trophy in Week Seven:

Zach Allen, DL, Boston College: Had 3 tackles for losses with one sack among his 5 total tackles in win over Louisville, 38-20.

Troy Dye, LB, Oregon: Led Ducks with 10 tackles, including one for a loss and had a quarterback hurry in overtime win against Washington, 30-27.

Jordan Fuller, S, Ohio State: Led Buckeyes with 12 tackles in win over Minnesota, 30-14.

Porter Gustin, LB, USC: Had 2.5 tackles for losses, 1.5 sacks, 6 total tackles and a quarterback hurry in 31-20 win over Colorado.

Chase Hansen, LB, Utah: Led team with 9 tackles and had a sack in win over Arizona, 42-10.

Ben Humphreys, LB, Duke: Had 11 tackles, 2 for losses in win over Georgia Tech, 28-14.

Jordan Kunaszyk, LB, Cal: Had 22 tackles, 2 for losses and a forced fumble in loss to UCLA, 37-7.

Ed Oliver, DL, Houston: Of his 6 tackles, 5 were for losses with 2 sacks. He also had a quarterback hurry and a forced fumble in win over East Carolina, 42-20.
