NEWPORT BEACH, CA. – Texas linebacker Anthony Hill Jr. is the Lott IMPACT® Trophy Player of the Week for week 7 of the 2024 college football season. Hill had a game high 11 tackles, 3.5 for a loss, including two sacks as the Longhorns won their Red River Rivalry game 34-3 over #18 Oklahoma.
A Sophomore from Denton, TX, Hill is currently third in the SEC with 8.5 tackles for a loss on the season. This comes after a 2023 campaign where he was named Co-Defensive Player of the Year in the Big XII.
The Lott IMPACT® Trophy player of the week is determined by a panel of Lott Trophy board members, former players and coaches, as well as members of the media along with an online fan vote.
The Lott IMPACT® Trophy is awarded annually to individuals who demonstrate excellence in the field of athletics and recognizes college football’s Defensive Player of the Year who best exemplifies the IMPACT acronym: Integrity, Maturity, Performance, Academics, Community and Tenacity.

Bradyn Swinson, LSU, DE, Sr.- Had 2.5 tackles for a loss, including 2 sacks, with 8 total tackles, also broke up a pair of passes and had a QB hurry in the Tigers 29-26 overtime win at #9 Ole Miss.
Matayo Uiagalelei, Oregon, LB, Soph- Had a sack, among two tackles for a loss, 5 total, to go with a pair of QB hurries as the Ducks defeated #2 Ohio State 32-31.
