NEWPORT BEACH, CA. – Colorado defensive back Travis Hunter has been named the Lott IMPACT® Trophy, presented by Allied Universal, player of the week for week 12 of the 2024 college football season. Hunter had an interception with three tackles, and was a key contributor on offense as the Buffaloes beat Utah 49-24.
The Lott IMPACT® Trophy, presented by Allied Universal, player of the week is determined by a panel of Lott Trophy board members, former players and coaches, as well as members of the media along with an online fan vote.
The Lott IMPACT® Trophy, presented by Allied Universal, is awarded annually to the nation’s top defensive player, who also exhibits the characteristics of Ronnie Lott by making an IMPACT® on and off the field. IMPACT® is an acronym for Integrity, Maturity, Performance, Academics, Community and Tenacity.
This years trophy presentation will be in Las Vegas, NV, December 9th. Finalists for the Lott IMPACT® Trophy, presented by Allied Universal, will be announced November 21st.

Barrett Carter, Clemson, LB, Senior- Game high 12 tackles, 9 solo, including a pair for a loss with a pass broken up in the Tigers 24-20 win at Pitt.
Mello Dotson, Kansas, CB, Senior- Intercepted a pass in the endzone, along with 3 tackles, to help Jayhawks hand #9 BYU their first loss 17-13.
Xavier Watts, Notre Dame, S, Grad Senior- Recovered a fumble and had an interception to go with three tackles in the Fighting Irish victory over Virginia 35-14.
