Washington’s Hau’oli Kikaha Named Wk 3 Lott IMPACT Player of The Week

Washington Linebacker Hau’oli Kikaha has been named the Lott IMPACT Player of the Week.

The 6-3, 246-pound Kikaha had three sacks and recovered a fumble as the Huskies ran their record to 3-0 with a 44-19 win over Illinois. The senior from Laie, Hawaii also had six tackles. Kikaha, who led Washington with 13 sacks last year, now has five for 2014, which ranks fifth in the nation.

The Pacific Club IMPACT Foundation will make a donation of $1,000 to the general scholarship fund at Washington to recognize Kikaha’s performance.

Kikaha is also a first team academic All-Pac-12 selection.

Other Nominees For The Wk 3 Lott IMPACT Player of The Week:

Anthony Harris (Virginia, S): Had 8 tackles, an interception and broke up another pass in 23-21 win over Louisville.

Landon Collins (Alabama, S): Led team with 12 tackles, added a quarterback hurry in 52-12 win over Southern Mississippi.

Vernon Hargreaves (Florida, DB): Credited with breaking up four passes in triple overtime win over Kentucky, 36-30.

David Helton (Duke, LB): Recorded 11 tackles and had a quarterback hurry in win over Kansas, 41-3.

Eric Kendricks (UCLA, LB): Led Bruins with 11 tackles in 20-17 win over Texas.

Cameron Lynch (Syracuse, LB): Had 2.5 sacks, 3.5 tackles for losses, a quarterback hurry and 8 tackles in win over Central Michigan, 40-3.

Eric Striker (Oklahoma, LB): Had three quarterback hurries, two tackles for loss and six total tackles in win over Tennessee, 34-10.
