Three Lott IMPACT Trophy Finalists Chosen in NFL Draft

NEWPORT BEACH, Ca. – Three of the finalists for the annual Lott IMPACT Trophy, including winner Carl Nassib of Penn State, were selected in the NFL Draft.
Nassib, who won the 12th annual Lott IMPACT Trophy, was a standout defensive end for the Nittany Lions and was chosen with the second selection in the third round by the Cleveland Browns.
Finalist Joshua Perry, a linebacker from Ohio State, was selected by the San Diego Chargers in the fourth round. Temple Linebacker Tyler Matakevich, who had 493 career tackles in college, was chosen by the Pittsburgh Steelers in the seventh round.
Duke All-American Safety Jeremy Cash, the other Lott finalist, was signed by the Carolina Panthers as a free agent.
The 13th annual Lott IMPACT Trophy Watch List will be announced at a luncheon at the Pacific Club in Newport Beach May 18.
