OFF THE FIELD

Ronald Darby is a junior cornerback for Florida State University. As a part of the football program he makes a strong contribution in the community with his fellow teammates. Darby participates in Kidz1stFund, which is an organization the looks to raise awareness and funds for the fight against Fanconi anemia. Darby also does his part with the TMH Hospital visits, Florida Guardian Ad Litem, Garnet and Gold Goes Green, Life Without Limits and Wounded Veterans Entrepreneur Camp. Darby partakes in Conley Elementary Literacy Week and Reach for the Stars and Read in order to promote students to raise their reading levels. Darby and his teammates alone have racked up seven hundred hours of community service all together.

ON THE FIELD

As a freshman, Darby came in and made a strong impact earning the ACC’s Defensive Rookie of the Year honors. He also was an ACC Champion and Football Writers and Association of America’s Freshman All-American. In his sophomore year he was not only an ACC Champion, but also a BCS National Champion. Now in his third season with Seminoles, he is an All-America candidate and a Jim Thorpe candidate. Darby is projected to do great things on and off the field in 2014.
