PFHOF Day 4 – Julian Mendoza, Segerstrom High School

Today was such an amazing experience it was so unreal, it really is living the dream. We started off by going and being in the parade. Ron and I had our own car and it was an amazing experience. I saw people waving at me like if I was one if the hall of famers and the experience was like no other. The community here is just so alive and together in these moments.

Then we went to our hotel room until it was time to leave for the dinner we had with the hall of famers. Shortly we arrive to eat dinner with the hall of famers and this was our opportunity to get a chance and get our autographs from the hall of famers. These hall of famers are really something else, they are so gentle and really set an example of how a real football player and man should be. Even coach had the chance of a lifetime to sit with Mike Ditka and Chris Berman for one on one advice!

After the dinner we left to see the hall of famers give their speeches at the enshrinement. These speeches really hit one in the heart, you can hear and feel the emotion behind their words and at times it made one want to cry. They set an example for all.

To top our night we went to Michael Strahan’s celebration. It was so unreal, you felt like a celebrity you see all these important people and hall of famers just having a good time and you just want to cherish the moment. Bon Jovi even played a private concert! Then everyone was shocked when they saw LL Cool J, he gave an excellent performance.

This was a night I’ll never forget. This experience is one in a lifetime and I wish I could come back every year. I am forever thankful for being chosen to come to experience the pro football hall of fame.
