Nebraska’s Defensive End Randy Gregory Named WK 4 Lott IMPACT Player of The Week

Nebraska Defensive End Randy Gregory has been named the WK 4 Lott IMPACT Player of the Week.

The 6-6, 240-pound junior from Fishers, Indiana had two sacks (25 yards lost), forced a fumble, two quarterback hurries and seven total tackles in the Cornhuskers’ 41-31 win over Miami.

The Pacific Club IMPACT Foundation will make a donation of $1,000 to the general scholarship fund at Nebraska to recognize Gregory’s performance.

Gregory was the National Sophomore Defensive Player of the Year last season.  He volunteers for Husker Heroes and visits the Belmont and Calvert community centers.

Other nominees this week:

Landon Collins (Alabama, S): Had an interception, broke up two passes and had five total tackles in win over Florida, 42-21.

Michael Doctor (Oregon State, LB): Had an interception, a tackle for loss and five total tackles in win over San Diego State, 28-7.

David Helton (Duke, LB): Led undefeated Blue Devils with 11 tackles and a sack in 47-13 win over Tulane,

Ifo Ekpre- Olomu (Oregon, CB): Had 9 tackles, one for a loss and broke up one pass in win over Washington State, 38-31.

Danny Shelton (Washington, DL): Led team with 13 tackles and had two tackles for loss (one sack) in win over Georgia State, 45-14.

Eric Striker (Oklahoma, LB): Had two tackles for losses (8 total tackles), one sack and broke up one pass in win over West Virginia, 45-33).
