Missouri defensive lineman Tre Williams learning from ‘big brother’ Charles Harris

Timing was everything for Tre Williams and Charles Harris.

In 2014, Williams was a standout defensive end playing for Rock Bridge High School in Columbia. Harris played the same position for Missouri, but he was relatively unknown. At the time.

Their relationship began while waiting for a haircut at JT’s Cutz, a barbershop off of Old 63 North Road in Columbia. Williams went in for a quick cut when Harris, also waiting, looked over at the 6-foot-4-inch defensive end and approached him.

Williams told Harris he played defensive end for Rock Bridge, and Harris told Williams he played defensive end for Missouri. What started with an observation and a question from Harris quickly turned into something more.
