OFF THE FIELD

Michael Doctor is a sideline-to-sideline linebacker with great closing speed and knowledge for the game. He is a field general and leader, marking this season to be the second-straight year he has been named a captain. A season-ending injury in 2013 had many thinking his college football career was over, but Doctor’s tenacity and determination would not let that happen. The Pac-12 Conference granted Doctor a 5th year of eligibility and due to his hard work he is entering this season healthy and ready to exude his maturity on the Oregon State defense.

ON THE FIELD

Michael Doctor played in all 13 games his freshman year. In his sophomore season, he won the starting position as linebacker and finished second on the team with 78 tackles. In 2012, Doctor led all Oregon State Beavers in tackles with 83 tackles in his junior campaign. His 185 total tackles in his career marks the most among current players at Oregon State. Doctor desires to bring back “Linebacker U” at Oregon State and plans to start the movement with his linebacker corps this season. The fifth-year senior is ready to display his leadership on and off the field in the 2014 college football season.
