Lott IMPACT Trophy | Honoring College Football's Defensive Best

Each year the Lott IMPACT Trophy and Pacific Club IMPACT Foundation underwrites this trip for two (2) nominees and their coaches to attend the festivities and take part in a one of a kind mentoring program with members of the Pro Football Hall of Fame…the Gold Jackets. The weekend includes the induction ceremony, parade and tickets to the annual Hall of Fame game kicking off the NFL season.

The Lott IMPACT Trophy wants to acknowledge the hard work, inspiration and dedication by members of the High School Football community in California. In conjunction with the CIF, we ask Coaches and Administrators to nominate worthy candidates for this one of a kind experience. Please fill out the form below and submit all materials by May 2nd, 2016. A group of finalists will be invited to a private gathering where the two candidates and their coaches will be announced.

We are looking for student-athletes who will be entering their senior season of high school football during the 2015-2016 academic year who exemplify the qualities of IMPACT: Integrity, Maturity, Performance, Academics, Community, Tenacity. Priority will be given to students who are still pursuing their leadership potential. Participation is open to students in good standing attending high school in Orange County and Los Angeles, California. ALL nominated students will be invited to submit a full application, which includes a parent or guardian signature and student essay. Student-athletes who complete the application process will be invited to participate in an National Leadership Symposium in late June at The Pacific Club in Newport Beach, California.

Finalists who demonstrate the strongest potential for leadership growth based on essay and symposium participation will be selected for pairing with a Pro Football Hall of Fame mentor during their senior season.  This includes an all expense paid opportunity to meet your PFHOF mentor as their personal guest during the 2016 Induction Ceremonies in Canton, Ohio.  Coach’s participation as a chaperone is required.  For any questions and/or additional information regarding the Legacy Leadership Project, please contact Dr Casey Cooper at drcooper@lottimpacttrophy.org

The Legacy Leadership Project began in 2008 in Orange County, California with a single athlete and Pro Football Hall of Fame mentor. The mission was simple; to provide experiences and support that could help student athletes who have the most influence on the future of football make positive life choices. The program began as an experiment, but proved so successful that the LLP now offers a leadership and life skills symposium, and involves over a dozen members of the Pro Football Hall of Fame (PFHOF) who volunteer as sponsors and mentors. Within 4 years, the LLP had gained the endorsement of the NCAA and NFL Community Relations as an approved program, and is recognized as an Official Ambassador Program to the PFHOF.
