Along with his teammates he participates in Crossing Points, where the players go hang out with young adults with disabilities, Read BAMA Read that promotes students in elementary school to open a book and read, and even raising money to help a child in need during the winter holidays. Collins even surprised a young child and helped coordinated a trip to tour the athletic facilities and hang out with Collins for a day.

Collins has also made a huge impact on the field in his Alabama career so far. During his freshman year he was voted player of the week for special teams three times, SEC Champion, and won a BCS National Championship. In his sophomore season he was selected by coaches as defensive player of the week seven times and SEC defensive player of the week. Associated Press placed him on the All-SEC second team that year and he was also a semifinalist for the Jim Thorpe Award. Entering his junior campaign Collins is one of the Crimson Tide’s most experienced and explosive defensive backs and a preseason All-American.
