Laiu Moeakiola from Arizona State is the Week 4 Lott IMPACT Player of the Week

NEWPORT BEACH, Ca. – Arizona State’s Laiu Moeakiola has been named the Lott IMPACT Player of the Week.

The 6-1, 215-pound senior safety from Euless, Texas had a huge 28-yard interception return for a touchdown that sealed the Sun Devils’ win over Cal, 51-41. Moeakiola also had five tackles and broke up a pass in the victory.
Arizona State is now 4-0.

In recognition of Moeakiloa’s performance, the Pacific Club IMPACT Foundation, sponsors of the Lott IMPACT Trophy, will make a $1,000 donation to the general scholarship fund at Arizona State.

Jamal Adams (S, Sr., LSU): Had 13 tackles and one quarterback hurry in loss to Auburn, 18-13.

Quin Blanding (S, Sr., Virginia): Had game high 12 tackles and broke up one pass in win over Central Michigan, 49-35.

Ben Boulware (LB, Sr., Clemson): Led team with 10 tackles in win over Georgia Tech, 26-7.

Andrew King (LB, Sr., Army): Led Black Knights with 12 tackles (one tackle for loss) and forced a fumble in overtime loss to Buffalo, 23-20.

Cameron Smith (LB, So., USC): Game high 15 tackles (one for a loss), forced a fumble and broke up a pass in loss to Utah, 31-27.

Weston Steelhammer (S, Sr., Air Force): Had 9 tackles (one tackle for loss) in win over Utah State, 27-20.

A.J. Wolf (DL, Sr., Duke): Had a sack, 5 tackles and a quarterback hurry in upset win over Notre Dame, 38-35.
