OFF THE FIELD

Karl Joseph is a hard-hitting junior safety and captain of the West Virginia Mountaineers football team. His leadership and discipline are noticeable off the gridiron as Joseph is a Garrett Ford Academic Honor Roll member; having achieved a grade point average of 3.0 or better. On an even larger scale, Joseph belongs to the Big 12 Commissioner’s Honor Roll. His maturity amongst WVU’s junior class, the Morgantown community, and home state of Florida is impeccable.

ON THE FIELD

As a freshmen Karl Joseph led the team in solo tackles with (76) and total tackles with (104). For his stellar play on the field he received the WVU Defensive Player of the Year award, was All-Big 12 Conference Honorable-Mention Team (AP) and was named Freshman All-America (collegefootballnews.com, FoxSports.com, Phil Steele). In 2013, Joseph started all 12 games, was named All-Big 12 Conference Honorable Mention and led the team with four fumble recoveries (No. 1 in the Big 12 and No. 2 nationally). Most recently, Joseph was named the 4th toughest player in college football and the #1 hardest hitter for the 2014-2015 campaign by NFL.com analysts. Expect #8 to pave way for the Mountaineers in 2014.
