Back in Spring Horace Mann Middle School applied for a grant to receive new football jerseys and now, the new ones are here.

Lisa Peck, the Athletic Director, said the old jerseys were too big with letters peeling off of them, but the new ones come in white and red with a JJ Watt logo on the back collar.

And after the kids got them, the excitement of the team was through the roof.

“So, I wrote a grant and within two weeks they accepted it and we got fifty new red jerseys and fifty new white jerseys,” said Peck on writing to the JJ Watt Foundation.

The school remains thankful to the JJ Watt Foundation for accepting the grant and for giving grants to other schools in their conference as well.

The football team got to wear the new jerseys this season and ended 5-2 feeling good about how they played in their new gear this fall.
