Harvard’s Captain has Deep Football Roots

Fifth Year Senior CB Sean Ahern, captain of the Harvard Crimson, is following in his father’s footsteps. Not just by playing college football but by playing it in the Ivy League. And the senior Ahern also shares the privilege with his son of playing under now Harvard Head Coach Tim Murphy. Sean knew football was inevitable in his future from a young age due to where he grew up. Raised in southwest Ohio, “football is a big deal where I come from,” he said. His path has taken him through local powerhouse St Xavier High School in Cincinnati, the alma mater of 2011 Lott IMPACT Trophy winner Luke Kuechly.
