CBS Sports Network to Televise Lott IMPACT Trophy Award Ceremony on Sunday, December 10

CBS Sports Network has partnered with the Lott IMPACT Trophy as the official television partner of the award, recognizing College Football’s Defensive Best in Character and Performance.

CBS Sports Network will televise the 14th annual Lott IMPACT Trophy Award Ceremony live from The Pacific Club in Newport Beach, California on Sunday, Dec. 10.

CBS Sports Network’s will also showcase a weekly segment about the Lott IMPACT Trophy, announcing a defensive player of the week on INSIDE COLLEGE FOOTBALL. The show airs on Tuesday’s (9:00 PM, ET) throughout the season with host Adam Zucker and analysts Brian Jones, Randy Cross, Aaron Taylor and Rick Neuheisel.

Named after 4-time Super Bowl winner and Pro Football Hall of Famer Ronnie Lott, the Lott IMPACT Trophy recognizes young men who not only perform on the field, but also off the field. The award celebrates defensive college football players that embody the IMPACT acronym; Integrity, Maturity, Performance, Academics, Community and Tenacity.

“We are very excited about this new television partnership with CBS Sports Network,” said Ronnie Lott. “This partnership and the additional coverage of the award and will allow us to create even more awareness about these outstanding young men who are doing great things both on-the-field and in the community. Their stories need to be told and this partnership gives us a bigger platform to do so.”

42 players have been nominated for the 2017 Lott IMPACT Trophy Watch List, with each being eligible for weekly Player of the Week honors. Fans may participate in Player of the Week voting each Sunday morning during the college football season by visiting www.lottimpacttrophy.org. Charitable donations will be made in the player’s name to each participating school’s general athletic fund.
