OFF THE FIELD

Alvin Dupree’s off-field contributions started early on in high school when he was an honor roll student and a member of the Future Business Leaders of America. During his three years at the University of Kentucky Alvin “Bud” Dupree has continued to make a positive influence in the community. He majors in community and leadership development, which is reflected in his service projects that he participates in with his team. He has previously assisted with Breakfast with Santa where his teammates and he visited the University of Kentucky Medical Center to pass out gifts and mingle with children. Alongside his teammates, Dupree dropped in Lexington’s Cardinal Hill Rehabilitation Hospital to socialize with patients and boost their spirits for a Martin Luther King Day service event. As a member of the football team he helped achieve over 900 hours in community services, which contributed to more than 4,000 hours towards the entire student – athlete total.

ON THE FIELD

As a freshmen Alvin Dupree appeared in all twelve Kentucky Wildcat games and started in the last three. During his sophomore season he started all twelve games and recorded 91 tackles, which ranked 10th in the SEC. He then was named All–SEC Third Team by Phil Steele’s College Football and CollegeFootballMadness.com. CollegeFootballNews.com also placed him on the Sophomore All – America Second Team. In his junior year Dupree had 61 tackles, adding a team best 9.5 tackles for loss and 7 sacks.  He was placed on the All – SEC Third Team by College Sports Madness and All – SEC Second Team by Associated Press and Steele’s College Football. Now in his senior year, his preseason honors by Phil Steele’s College Football include All – SEC Defense Second Team and fourth most underrated college football player by Sports on Earth. Athlon Sports and the SEC Coaches voted him to the All – SEC Third Team. Lindy’s Sports selected him to the All – SEC First Team, while College Sports Madness placed him on the All – SEC Second Team.

In addition, to being on the Lott Impact Trophy watch list, Dupree has been named to the Nagurski and Bednarik Award watch lists. With his final year at Kentucky approaching big things are expected of Dupree as a leader in the community and on the football field.
